Shilton is a picturesque Cotswold village with plenty of local history. The village green, with beautiful chestnut trees, surrounds the village pond with the pub at one end. The war memorial stands on the green and near to it is the pump stack and a stone-hooded well. Up the hill is the church and rectory.

There is a public footpath to Burford - a lovely walk in a very lovely setting!
