Attractively restored, converted stables and coach house, within the extensive grounds of The Old Vicarage in the small hamlet of Swinbrook.
The comfortably furnished and luxuriously spacious ground floor sitting room is open to the roof and features magnificent oak beams, exposed stonework and a large open fireplace. Off this is a fully equipped modern kitchen and breakfast room. Two tiered stairs lead to a large landing and a huge, oak beamed double bedroom with en-suite facilities.
The Coach House has its own secluded gravel courtyard with garden furniture and looks across to the pretty 13th century Swinbrook church. The village is famous for the 'Love in a Cold Climate' authoress Nancy Mitford and her famous family who are buried in the churchyard. Lord Resedale, their father, lived in Swinbrook House and built the Georgian vicarage. Swinbrook features a charming 16th century pub in a Mill beside the river Windrush. Burford's famous antique shops are a two mile walk away along the green valley fields. NON SMOKERS ONLY PLEASE
