The Coach House is a stunning example of a Cotswold cottage at its best. We love this one! An attractive restoration of converted stables and coach house; outside the origins of the building as stables are still evident but once inside, what a surprise.... it's huge! Tastefully furnished with comfy and quality furnishings enhanced by natural colours and oak flooring; luxuriously spacious with a vaulted ceiling featuring magnificent oak beams, exposed stonework and a large open fireplace. The kitchen/ breakfast room is well equipped. Two tiered stairs lead to a large landing/bedroom area (with two single beds) and an absolutely huge, oak beamed bedroom. The 'Jack and Jill' bathroom has two doors - one from the bedroom and one from the landing. The Coach House has its own secluded courtyard with garden furniture and is within the extensive grounds of The Old Vicarage with views across to the pretty 13th century Swinbrook church. The village is known for the 'Love in a Cold Climate' authoress Nancy Mitford and her famous family who are buried in the churchyard. Lord Redesdale, their father, lived in Swinbrook House and built the Georgian vicarage. Swinbrook features a charming 16th century 'proper' pub in a mill beside the river Windrush. Burford's famous antique shops are a two mile walk away along the green valley fields. This pet friendly cottage has fabulous walks on the doorstep and is ideal for a special occasion - log fire, dining for 6, vast bedroom and just a stroll to the pub.....what more could you ask for!
The rates below are for 2 people using the main bedroom. Please add £40 to this price for each single bed as required.
