Garden Cottage is a detached property adjacent to Shilbrook Manor, a listed building built in 1860. The cottage has been recently renovated and refurbished maintaining high standards throughout. French doors lead to the private, raised terrace with garden furniture and bbq. Overlooking the gardens and across the Shill Brook, where you can enjoy these lovely surroundings and watch the cows gently grazing. The owner is a keen garden designer and her interest in plants and topiary has created delightful landscaped gardens and a copse, which extend over 2 acres (available to guests). Plants and homemade preserves are available - have a chat to the owner.

Black Bourton is a medieval village known for its murals in the church and the 'black' friars who lived next to Shilbrook Manor. A short walk from the cottage is The Vines, a restaurant and pub that comes highly recommended. Several more pubs in Bampton (2 miles), famous as the home of Morris Dancing.

With riding stables 3 miles and golf 5 miles away this is a great spot for relaxation or to tour the Cotswolds. Oxford (20 miles), Cheltenham or Stratford for an easy day out.
