In the midst of the beautiful south Oxfordshire countryside is a comfortable holiday apartment with heaps of character in the beams and stonework. On the first floor the apartment is spacious for two in one bedroom but can accommodate 2 further guests using the sofa bed in the sitting room.  The open plan aspect is bright and sunny; you have a very well equipped kitchen and dining area, two comfy settees to enjoy the TV with video, dvd and music system (just in case it rains....).  Off the landing is the shower room and twin bedroom.  Children are very welcome, but parents should be aware that the stairs are open to the landing. The entrance is downstairs with a place for walking boots and wellies and the utility room. 

You'll experience a real feel of the farm with a courtyard area for guests next to animal pens and the cattle sheds or to the front of the farmhouse there is a picnic table from which to enjoy the lovely views across to the Downs.

This is very much a working farm with free range chickens, a herd of Dexter cattle, a small flock of sheep and of course wild birds and animals that are in abundance in the locale.

A choice of pubs within a couple of miles;  local shops, supermarkets and pubs in the market town of Wantage  as well as the weekly market that is still held.  

This is a very good base for experiencing  the sights, sounds and smells of a working farm and the surrounding neighbourhood with plenty to see and do; Didcot Railway Centre, Buscot Park, Blenheim Palace, Cotswold Wildlife Park etc, etc!! Oxford is within a 30 minute drive; London by train from nearby Didcot is only about 45 minutes. For those who like to walk (bring the dog!) you have The Ridgeway, The Thames Path, White Horse Hill and many, many more stunning walks on your doorstep. Just a couple of miles from Wantage in a rural location on the road to Stanford-in-the-Vale.
