Golden Cross Farmhouse is a classically proportioned Georgian farmhouse with stunning countryside views in all directions.  It is an ideal base for visiting Shakespeare's Country, the Cotswolds, National Trust houses and gardens or for rambling or walking the many local walks.

The house is tastefully decorated with unique and interesting period furniture; there are seagrass carpets, a  roll-top bath in each bathroom and a huge farmhouse kitchen/dining room with an oil-fired Aga and flagstone floor. The individual style can be credited to the artist/sculptor owners who live in the self-contained adjoining wing with their little boy.

There are two sitting rooms to relax in - one is a TV room and both have beautiful fireplaces (with wood burners). The 5 bedrooms and two large bathrooms are spread over the top two floors.

Outside is a lovely enclosed courtyard with wisteria plants, garden furniture and a bbq. The front 'yard' has enough room to park 4-5 cars (with high double gates which an be kept closed for the safety of children and pets).

The house is on the main Fosseway halfway between Moreton in Marsh (with the very popular weekly market on a Tuesday) and Shipston-on-Stour. Just 10 miles north to Stratford-upon-Avon for the theatres and just 10 miles south to the antiques centre of the Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold.

Two public footpaths lead directly from the house; a 15 minute walk across fields to Stretton-on-Fosse with an award winning village pub or a longer walk to Todenham and another excellent village pub (very popular we are told!). If you fancy something more spicy The Cotswold Spice Indian Restaurant is a half-mile up the road.

This is a very pet welcoming house bearing in mind the neighbouring dogs, cats and free range hens.
