Fabulous renovation of old farm buildings to create a holiday base in classic, rural English countryside.
Finished to an excellent standard with high ceilings that enhance the quality and style; light and airy throughout with soft lighting, squishy sofas and pretty soft furnishings. The bespoke kitchens have granite work tops and natural wood has been retained wherever possible; with some jiggling around you can seat 10 for dinner. The mezzanine in each cottage is accessed via space-saving stairs.
Ideal holiday location for a group of friends to chill out or for familes travelling together; a total of 5 double bedrooms (including the mezzanines). The huge garden is great for the kids and dogs (please note, there are friendly resident dogs) to let off steam while you sit and relax on the patio, garden furniture and bbq provided. The garden is enclosed from the farm. Guests are welcome to wander through the grounds - please note as pictured, there is a pond near to the main house of which parents should be aware.
On a working farm in the grounds of The Priory which originates from the 12th Century and is in the centre of the historic-cultural triangle of Oxford , Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon (all about a 30 minutes drive). The main house is now a family home on this working farm; it is an imposing property built in the honey coloured stone that is indigenous to the area with chapel windows and vaulting in the cellar. Surrounded by paddocks, home to event horses, and gently rising farmland in all directions. The Oxford Canal runs along the bottom of the valley and through the pretty village of Cropedy with a local pub that was converted from three workers cottages in the 17th Century. Banbury is about 6 miles away for local shops and the Castle Quay shopping mall.
Plenty to see and do; Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, Sulgrave Manor, Heritage Motor Museum etc, etc, etc, there is heaps of choice! Or perhaps stay 'at home' on the farm to enjoy the country walks, the games room and fishing. Stabling for horses can also be arranged.
This is a very friendly, welcoming spot for a rural holiday.
