A spacious and beautiful property that’s perfect for large groups or families, Oxford is just under 20 miles away, and there are plenty of walks and attractions to keep the whole party entertained.

The twin villages of East and West Challow are at the foot of the beautiful Berkshire Downs in the Vale of The White Horse close to Wantage. Originally part of Berkshire, it was moved into Oxfordshire in a series of boundary changes in 1974.

The Wilts and Berks Canal which joined the Thames at Abingdon to the Kennet and Avon skirts the village and is being gradually restored by a private trust. South Oxfordshire holds some wonderful delights as a holiday destination. The market towns of Wantage and Abingdon-on-Thames are steeped in history. Wantage is the birthplace of King Harold the Great and Abingdon's history includes William the Conqueror. The amazing 'White Horse' at Uffington is some 3,000 years old and is a fine example of Bronze Age art! Why not take a stunning walk through picturesque villages such as Letcombe Regis, Letcombe Bassett, picturesque Childrey from either East or West Challow.
