Drayton is a village in the south of Oxfordshire. There has been a settlement here since Norman times and there is evidence in the stonework of the local church. Close to Didcot for it's famous Railway Centre and the breath-taking Vale of the White Horse close to Wantage. A day trip to Oxford is unmissable whenever you're staying in the same county. There is a pub and a village shop and more amenities in nearby Abingdon. There are at least three National Trust houses, the main ones being Basildon Park, Ashdown House and Buscot Park within 15 miles where you can take a tour and visit the gardens. There are even some mazes at a couple of them for outgoing children and young at heart!
