Minster Lovell is close to Witney in Oxfordshire, it is essentially two villages with the same name - old and new. Old Minster Lovell is one of the prettiest villages in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. As soon as you begin your descent into the village its charm becomes apparent as you pass the lovely cottages and buildings, a cricket green, a tree lined narrow road and then a bridge crossing the River Windrush. How traditional! The ruins of Minster Lovell Hall are mysterious and haunting. You'll find remnants of a fine hall, a tower and a dovecote. The River Windrush continues its journey through some of the most beautiful countryside in England, flowing through Cotswold's towns and villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford and the Barringtons.
