Stow-on-the-Wold is a bustling Cotswolds town which attracts visitors from all over the world who come to see its famed honey-coloured Cotswold stone cottages and buildings. There are lots of little shops to visit and a good choice of restaurants, pubs and tearooms/coffee shops. It is well known for its numerous antique shops too. On view in the market square are some original medieval stocks, used at the time as a form of punishment. Local attractions include Batsford Arboretum, Hidcote Manor, Birdland, Cotswold Motoring Museum, Cotswold Farm Park, Bourton Model Railway Exhibition, The Cotswold Falconry Centre and the Cotswold Wildlife Park, just outside Burford.
