Attractive wooden barn enjoying a wonderfully secluded rural location within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and an easy drive from the towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury.

This property is nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Shropshire Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its secluded location makes it perfect for a romantic retreat or for those who enjoy scenic walks in tranquil countryside. One such walk which can be enjoyed directly from the property is the Linley Hill section of the Shropshire Way, an impressive avenue of beech trees which were planted to commemorate the Napoleonic wars. The nearest village, Wentnor, is one and a half miles away, where visitors will find the welcoming village pub, whilst a supermarket can be found in Churchstoke, six miles away.

A flight of external stairs leads up the side of this property to the first-floor front door which opens directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This lovely homely space is light and airy, and thoughtfully designed to make the best use of the space. The lounge area has an inviting sofa, perfect for relaxing in front of the TV, DVD, and the wood burner, which gives the barn a lovely cosy feeling even in the deepest of winter. The dining table sits between the lounge and kitchen area which is well-equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. At the far-end of the property lies the pretty bedroom, which has a super-king-size bed and has been finished in an elegant, understated style. The bed can alternatively be made up as two singles on request if preferred. The contemporary-styled bathroom offers a bath, hand-held shower, and WC. Guests should be aware that the property is situated in the eaves of the barn, and therefore has sloping ceilings and some reduced head height.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable week, the accommodation was fist class, somewhat more remote than we anticipated but beautiful and peaceful never the less. We would definitely recommend "Mollys Barn" for a chill out break.
